Oil Search reports that as at 06:00 hours KRI time on 23 May, the Taza 1 ST2 well was at a depth of 3,351 metres and undertaking a well test on the open hole section, which includes the Euphrates Formation. Ganope launches International Bid Round for 20 exploration blocks in Egypt

In December 2012, Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) launched an international licensing round for 20 exploration blocks in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Qualified oil and gas companies are invited to bid for Production Sharing Agreements for the blocks in the Western Desert, Eastern Desert, Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez.
